The Sauvignon Blanc wine grape can be grown in France, Australia, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, Brazil and California (USA). The grapes are normally green in color, and originate from Bordeaux, France. The name Sauvignon Blanc is French for “Wild white,” and it is one of the most well-known and widely available white wine grape varieties in the world.

The vine of Sauvignon Blanc grape will bud late, but ripen early. This makes the vine very versatile because it can stand to grow in a sunny climate.
