California is the center of US wine production which accounts for ninety percent of the wine production in the United States. The average prices range from 10 pounds for a well made bottle of wine to 19 pounds for more upscale delicate flavored wines. Another great thing about white wines is that they tend to be cheaper than red wines on average, with a really great white wine priced considerably lower than an equally great red wine.
