Whilst not making it as far as the New Zealand white in our wedding wine list, we certainly enjoyed tasting a number of the NZ reds along the way!  Some formidable examples of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as one of our favourite Pinot Noir reds come from Auckland and Hawkes Bay in New Zealand.

As we say with all New Zealand wines, the reds are no exception, be prepared to pay a little more than for wines from other countries due to the limited output.  Whilst it is a little more expensive, there are often great deals on, and you can also minimise the overall impact by getting your wedding, or party, or any other occasion wines on a sale or return basis…what you don’t drink, can go back, no drink no pay!
