Whilst wine is a staple of most weddings and big birthday or anniversary parties, there is always a question as to what else the organisers should provide for the guests to drink.
If there is food involved, you should think about what to serve before the food is served, do you have champagne/sparking wine, or pimms, etc? With food, do you keep it simple and offer red/white wine, and afterwards, do you invite your guests to get a bit messy and roll out some beer and/or spirits?
You probably know your guests, what they like, and what they expect – remember, it’s your wedding, or party, and it’s up to you what you’re going to serve!
So, if you do decide to serve beer, think about whether you want to get beer in bottles (don’t forget a bottle opener!), or cans – both can be recycled when empty, but is it easier for the clear up if you serve cans, as these can be crushed, and are lighter for you to recycle. Also bear in mind whether people will be drinking from glasses, or from the bottle/can of beer directly, as this will impact the number of glasses you need to have available.
